When I went to get her this morning, I said “Good Morning Baby!” and she said “I go to school today!”
She was very excited to go to school today and I was excited for her!
We got there 5 minutes before the class started and we waited for the teacher to open the door.
The door opened and kids poured into the classroom. Kira looked at me and said “I go play now?”
And then she was off! My baby was now a preschooler
She ran in and sat down with the kids and didn’t look back! I did get a nice kiss before she ran off though
I picked her up a couple of hours later and was anxious to find out how her first day went. Her teacher said she was excellent, so I guess it went well! She said she even went potty twice, which was huge for her first day, she said.
Kira looked happy and she said she loved it. She told us she sang and did crafts and played toys. Today was the Valentine’s Day celebration so we brought in some cards for her classmates, just like I was told to do at the registration on Sunday. Well, she came home with a kleenex box full of Valentines and treats! I didn’t know we were supposed to include treats
Not all of the cards came with little treats but most of them did! Guess I will know better for next year.
She enjoyed looking at her little stash when we got home.
While she was at school, I dropped by Walmart and bought her a little school bag. She’s still wearing it as I type this LOL!
So, her first day was a total success and she’s looking forward to her next class

So glad Kira’s first day went well. Sounds like she is well and truly ready for it. Love the photos. Can’t believe how grown up she’s gotten since your WDW trip in October. A real little girl now – well I guess a big girl if she’s going to pre-school

That is too sweet. It is hard to watch them grow up but so amazing at the same time.
